MEET THE TEAM
Knoxville is led by our Pastor, Assistant Pastors, and a team of dedicated preachers and staff.
MARCUS SISK
PASTOR

Pastor Marcus Sisk was born in Chatsworth, Georgia, and raised in the Southeast region of the United States as his father (and hero) faithfully served in the ministry. Marcus was ordained April 20, 1989, in Dalton, Georgia, and followed in his father's footsteps as he traveled and served as a devoted Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor, and Senior Pastor at several churches throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, and Georgia from 1990-2021. He was placed as Pastor at The Church of God of the Union Assembly at Knoxville on January 29, 2023. Marcus married his wife, Jessica, in 2009, and together, they have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Some of his greatest influences throughout life were his father, Kenneth Sisk, as well as Brothers Phillips Gentry, Jack Giles, Paul Hughes, and Dennis Smith. His desire is to see the Church grow through the preached word, building strong relationships and programs, and community outreach.
ALLEN MASSENGILL
ASSISTANT PASTOR
Assistant Pastor Allen Massengill was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and has served as Assistant Pastor at The Church of God of the Union Assembly at Knoxville since July 2020. He was blessed to grow up in a religious home, and at 13-years old, felt the call on his life to serve in the ministry. At an early age of 14-years old, Allen was ordained as a bishop on March 21, 1971, in Dalton, Georgia. In 1980, he married his wife, Trish. Throughout the years, he has faithfully served The Church of God of the Union Assembly in many different states. Allen's greatest influence throughout life was Brother Charlie T. Pratt, III. His desire for the Church is to see it grow in unity and to see the lives of God's people changed forever.

COREY CASSELL
ASSISTANT PASTOR
Assistant Pastor Corey Cassell was born in Dalton, Georgia, and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He answered the call to preach at the age of 19 and was officially ordained into the ministry on October 13, 2003, at the age of 23. Throughout his ministry, Corey has faithfully served in numerous churches, following God's direction and ministering wherever he was called. From June 2016 to July 2018, he served as Assistant Pastor in Harlan, Kentucky. After completing his season of service there, he became the Assistant Pastor at Mascot, where he ministered from July 2018 until the church’s closing in July 2021. As of July 20, 2025, he now serves as the Assistant Pastor in Knoxville, continuing his commitment to shepherd and strengthen the body of Christ. Corey is deeply committed to helping people overcome life’s trials through the power of God's Word and believes in growing together in unity as a church family. He was greatly influenced by his late father, Jerry Cassell, who ministered faithfully for over 40 years, as well as by Brothers Herman McBurnette and Jimmy Adams—both of whom have made a lasting impact on his life and calling. He is joyfully married to his wife, Tara, and together they are the proud parents of six children. His favorite verse, which continues to guide his heart for ministry, is James 2:5. With a heart for service and a deep love for God’s people, Corey continues to follow his calling to preach, serve, and build up the church in love.
